Nature is going to return its place (HDR)

Nature is going to return its place (HDR)

I found this in a beautiful abandoned shabby house on a weekend trip to the “Festung Grauerort” (http://www.festung-grauerort.de/) and I could not resist taking some pictures.

It is amazing how nature is going to return its place.

Thank you for all your visists and comments.

Flower

Flower

I've been very busy but finally today I got to play with my macro setup that arrived a couple of weeks ago. I got a set of Opteka extension tubes, a 3-in-1 gold-silver-white reflector, one of those rings of led lights for the lens and the flexible grip thing, all bottom of the line, but fun to play with. I was set of shooting water drops with reflections inside (oh, I bought glycerin), but that is much harder than I thought. So, when I went to walk the dog, I picked up a few flowers. The whole thing is challenging, wind, not enough light, difficulty focusing, but had a lot of fun. I finally decided to go inside, turn on a bunch of lamps next to the window and use the gold reflector to shoot light in from the window. I finally discovered that Live View makes things a whole lot easier.

I like the colors and curves on this one. I used Nik Viveza to reduce the brightness of the background which was originally a dirty brownsih color. Added contrast and vibrance, and reduced brightness on the petal in the front, which was way too bright. This was a lot of fun, spent much more time shooting than in photoshop. I'd like to do insects too.

Shot with the 28-135mm with the 21mm extension tube.

Flowers on witch's large kettle ...

Flowers on witch's large kettle ...

I found this flowers, the girl from the store told me that this flowers were from Mount Everest..
They are a delicate bunch of flowers.
I have this large kettle made of iron, very old, so, as I like the contrasts, I put them in this container and got some help from photoshop :)

This photo was taken in my studio.

Today is the end of a long holiday here, this is the reason why I wasn't around.
Wishing a great week to all of you .
Thank you so much ! ; )

Nature Becomes Her...

Nature Becomes Her...

Or she becomes nature...

This is my mood right now. Grumpy. Still irritable without nicotine? Hasn't it been long enough to even out from that? This photo was taken in Fishers as a storm was brewing. You should have heard the wind through the leaves.
